Since I have started my company, I knew right away that I wanted to make a difference in some people life. A small difference maybe, but it brings so much joy to do so!
In 2014, I have given the totality of my profit to 3 families and their kids that had a hard time at Christmas. Even before my company, I personally loved to give back and I try to teach my kids to do the same and I think everybody that can do it, should make the effort to do so. We are making the world a better place :)
Christmas 2015 : Gift of toys for this year, check! I hope that these 3 children will have sparks in their eyes :) You too, I encourage you to make a small gesture to make a difference at this time of the holidays, but also throughout the year: personally thank a person who offers a good service, donate blood, offer time to a friend, donate money to a cause that is close to your heart, make a compliment to a person .... there is so much to give and at the same time, teach your kids about giving. By sowing seeds of happiness, we will make a better world. Happy holidays
This year, I chose to donate toys to the play room at Ste-Justine Hospital. I was there several times when I was younger and my little sister was treated at the Hospital for her leukemia :( Caroline is one of those who took so much care of my sister and I wanted to make a small gesture to bring moments of fun to the children who goes at the Hospital playroom between two treatments or in waiting of an appointment. -Julie
2016 A little before Christmas, I went to bring toys to children in need at L'Actuel, a non-profit organization in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region that gives back to vulnerable people. Since the beginnings of Julie Jouets, I wish to give back to some families and children in need. A big thank you to Crocolo for providing several toys as well!
In 2017, I chose to give several toys to the project UN NOËL POUR TOUS of the association MOM'S (organized movement of solidarity mothers) in Terrebonne. The aim of this organization is to help young mothers aged 16 to 25 by getting them out of their isolation while helping them in their parenting role. They organized a spaghetti dinner event and were able to give the children nice toys.
